A Passion for Sculpture and a Thirst for ...Coffee!!!

I started sculpting in the 1970s. I have completed over sixty stone pieces, six bronze, and I am currently carving into my Microcrystalline Quartz beach stone collection.

I have been in and around coffee for a long time. I have been a full-time Barista, a coffee importer, and now I will market a limited quantity of my own, premium quality, ExcelPresso brand, coffee-press coffee in November.

I envision the linking of my art and my coffee as measured, ...more quality than quantity.

Although I sold for many years via accredited galleries, today I sell direct which keeps my prices reasonable. All but a few of my stone pieces are sold and I will hold off creating new stone pieces to this winter since I will only acquire new raw serpentine stone in the fall.

My new condo in Lavaltrie, with its large windows looking out over the Saint Lawrence River, is a great studio environment for my clay work. I have started work on a series of wild-life heads, bison/lynx/wolf, inspired by some of my recent sketches. Since my bronze are limited-edition, I always have some inventory available. They are listed in the Shop

I am currently developing a new body of sculpture based on my crystal beach stone collection. I have done a lot of preparatory cutting and preliminary polishing work and I am now positioned to deliver finished product. I started with pendants, but I am now focused on larger, sculpted, wearables pieces.

The stone is astonishingly beautiful, and I am eager to see what I come up with.
