Microcrystal
I start with a walk on the beach!
If you are out on the beach in the early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is lower on the horizon, squat down and look out across the beach towards the sun. And if there are any, you will see the semi-translucent microcrystalline quartz, glowing at the edges, illuminated by sun's rays.
My agetized beach-stone collection, amassed over many years in Quebec and Atlantic Canada, counts in the thousands of individual pieces. Microcrystalline quartz or chalcedony comes in many forms such as jasper and carnelian, ...and the more mysterious, agetized finds that I prize.
I have shaped and polished some pieces into pendants over the years and offered them to family and friends. They were always appreciated and worn. So, I thought I would work on some sculpted designs and offer them for sale on this site.
Titanium
I craft my own hypoallergenic, ever-bright, Titanium jewelry accents to detail my finished pieces.
At 6-7 on the Moh Hardness Scale, I use diamond wheels, burrs, and blades to cut, shape, and polish the agetized pieces.
