StudioP
The Portrait Studio

Through my years of sculpting, in Stone and Clay-to-Bronze, I have gained a wealth of knowledge I can now share. My work has sold nationally and internationally and has been exhibited extensively through galleries in both eastern and western Canada. I was born in Alberta but I have lived in Quebec since completing univerity at Concordia. I now live and work in Lavaltrie, Quebec, where am an active multi-disciple artist.

I am an intuitive, direct stone, clay-to-bronze sculptor who has worked in studio with fellow artists in Montreal and Italy.

Portrait: a likeness, in the sculptors's style, of a person or an animal, primarily of the face or head. A likeness that can range from figurative to abstract.
My 3 day, weekend, winter/spring courses, January to May, offer Clay workshops.
My 3 day, weekend, summer/fall courses, June to October, offer Stone workshops.
My bold lines, keen perspective, and vivid imagination shows through my portrait work as I search for artistic beauty in human expression and the wilds of nature. My teaching technique is hands on, with a focus on helping my pupils build a solid sculpting foundation and start on the road to find their portrait style and shape their artistic voice.
The learnings you will acquire in challenging your first head, under my supervision, will remain with you as you go on to discover your sculpting potential.

I am currently working on the exact studio location. Although I live in Lavaltrie the studio will be to the northeast of Montreal, in the Repentigny area. Please choose three alternative dates and indicate your experience level, none/some/a lot, and your language preference, english/french/both, which helps me balance the sessions. I am bilingual.
